Rio Tinto Alcan wants to hear from you!
If you are a business in from Hazelton to Prince George, Rio Tinto Alcan wants to know about you.
Rio Tinto Alcan has been touring the communities of Smithers, Burns Lake and Vanderhoof in order to learn more about the goods and services available to them with the mega projects they are taking on over the coming years. Whether it be the Kitimat Modernization Project or the Kemano Back Up Tunnel project starting this summer, Rio Tinto Alcan needs to know who they can use in the north.
RTA is taking a regional approach to the construction of these projects and even going as far as requiring the large contractors who win the bids of these projects to hire as many local subcontractors as they can. RTA would like to facilitate this by connecting the large contractors and project managers to the smaller subcontractors in the area.
The RTA has decided the best way to do this is to create a business database and play matchmaker between the large and small firms. It is up to the businesses to make themselves known by joining the database.
